GrowGroups at First Methodist Church are what we call all of our “small group” ministries. Our goal is to have everyone involved in some type of group. We don’t expect you to be in more than one group a week, but we do expect you to be in a group.

Wesley Class Meeting Groups
This type of group is based on John Wesley’s class meeting. Rather than gathering around a curriculum or topic, these groups focus on encouragement and accountability. Each week, group members answer questions focused on the condition of their souls, where they are succeeding in their walk with Christ, and where they need support or guidance. These groups are typically no larger than 12 people.
Topical/Sermon-Based groups
Topical or sermon-based groups may discuss the sermon from the previous week or a current curriculum that focuses on the overall spiritual development of the participants. These groups meet at various times throughout the week.
