From the moment you first walk in the door to when you find your seat in our worship space, our goal is to help you feel welcome and known. If at any time you need assistance, please ask one of our Guest Connections Team members (they will be wearing red nametags). We hope First Methodist Amarillo is a place you can connect with God and His church.
We have one modern worship service that includes elements of tradition to keep us connected to our Methodist roots. Our preaching team ensures the teaching of God’s Word is impactful and applicable at all our services. On the first Sunday of every month, we receive communion together. We follow the church calendar (Ash Wednesday, Lent, Advent, etc.) to lead us through the changing rhythms of our Christian life. You will find that prayer is the heartbeat of our services and ministries. First Methodist offers many different methods and opportunities to participate in prayer throughout the week.
