Are You a First-Time Guest?

If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table in the foyer, and a member of our Guest Connections Team (they’ll be wearing a white name tag) will happily assist you.

Nursery and Childcare

Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found in the back of the sanctuary.

What's New at First Methodist

Leadership Board Applications Open Today

The Leadership Board is a nine-person team whose purpose is to govern the business of the church. If you feel led to serve on this team, applications are available at the welcome areas. Applications will close Sunday, October 4.

Homecoming Sunday: Helping People Find Their Way Home

As a family of faith, we have a heart for welcoming those who have become disconnected from First Methodist Church. On September 13, we are going to have a family reunion — a joyful and welcoming Sunday where people can reconnect with friends, rediscover the life of our church, and most importantly, experience the love and grace of Jesus Christ. Our prayer is that people will not only find their way back to church, but find their way home to the Lord — and leave saying, “I’m so glad the Lord led me to FMC!”

Elevate Mission Training: September 19 and 20, Room 121/123

Unsure of how to go about sharing your faith, discipling, or telling someone about Jesus? In a few weeks, join Lane Miller for training sessions on having life-changing conversations, how to help lead someone toward salvation through Christ, and equipping and empowering disciples to make more disciples. Save the dates — more details will be released soon.

Young Couples Gathering: This Thursday, 6:30 p.m., Steve and Sally Lewis' Home

If you're in your 20s or 30s and dating, engaged, or married, we have a new opportunity for you and your significant other to connect with other couples from the church. Our first Young Couples Gathering is coming up this Thursday, September 10. To RSVP or learn more, please email rhonda@firstmethodist.church.

Third-Grade Bible Presentations: Sunday, September 20, All Services

Each year, we give Bibles to our third-grade students to help instill a love for the Lord and His Word in their hearts. Make plans to join us in any of our services for this special tradition!

Yeehaw Country Street Party: Sunday, October 4, 5:30-7:30 p.m., East Side of Building

Grab your boots and cowboy hats: our annual Street Party is coming up! GrowGroups are invited to decorate a booth and serve their favorite snacks, and guests may donate money to vote for the best food and best-decorated booth. Proceeds will go toward our Canyon Intermediate School fund, which we use to bless the CIS staff throughout the school year. To sign up for a booth, please fill out the form in your Sunday school bag, or see Laurie Gilliland.
