Welcome to First Methodist Church! We are so glad you are here. Whatever your week has been like, whatever your life has been like, whatever you look like, and whether you believe what we believe or disagree with us, you are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have a prayer request? Please text prayer requests to us at (806) 304-5905, or email prayer@firstmethodist.church.
If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table in the foyer, and a member of our Guest Connections Team (they’ll be wearing a white name tag) will happily assist you.
Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found in the back of the sanctuary.
Any money left on the Communion rails next Sunday will go toward blessing the teachers of Canyon Intermediate School as they prepare their classrooms for a new school year. If you'd like to give ahead of time, text "GIVE [amount]" to (833) 564-4255. After you receive a giving link, please select "Communion Offering" from the dropdown menu.
In just a few weeks, we're recognizing the longest-standing members of First Methodist Church in both of our traditional services. We invite you to this special Sunday as we reflect on the legacies of those who have been faithful members of this church throughout the decades.
In each of our services on August 16, we will pray over school administrators, teachers, staff, and students beginning a new school year. Students are welcome to bring their backpacks to be prayed over as well!
The Global Methodist Church's General Conference will be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, August 30 through September 5. This week, we invite you to be in prayer for the more than 7,000 churches that now comprise the Global Methodist Church and who will be represented at General Conference.
We want your input on future mission projects and service opportunities in our community. Please take a few moments to complete our mission survey here or by filling out a paper version and placing it in the offering.
