Welcome to First Methodist Church! We are so glad you are here. Whatever your week has been like, whatever your life has been like, whatever you look like, and whether you believe what we believe or disagree with us, you are welcome in this place in the name of Jesus Christ.
Have a prayer request? Please text prayer requests to us at (806) 304-5905, or email prayer@firstmethodist.church.
If this is your first time here, we have a gift for you! Visit the welcome table in the foyer, and a member of our Guest Connections Team (they’ll be wearing a white name tag) will happily assist you.
Our nursery is available for infants to pre-k students. We believe in family worship, so your kids are welcome to stay in the worship service with you. We have a time for children during worship where kids are invited to come forward to hear from our children’s ministry team. If your children are joining you in worship, we offer “wiggle bags” filled with activities for your children to do during worship. Wiggle bags may be found in the back of the sanctuary.
Come enjoy a night out with First Methodist at Hodgetown on Wednesday, June 24, at 7:05 p.m.! We will be selling tickets for $15 apiece next Sunday in the narthex. Cash, check, and Venmo accepted.
During VBC, our church will be offering Refresh Roadmap — a video-based course designed to help families navigate technology and its impact on the wellbeing of their children. This is a free course that all are invited to attend, but space is limited. To register, please use the VBC QR code above and select "Register Adult."
June 1-4 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m., kids will be able to take part in some frosty activities and games, enjoy snowy snacks and stories, and learn what Scripture says about faith and resilience. Registration for campers, volunteers, and our free Refresh Roadmap course for parents is open now at www.myvbs.org/FMCCanyon. Refresh Roadmap is a video-based course designed to help families navigate technology and its impact on the wellbeing of their children.
Registration is now open for Annual Conference! During these two days, clergy and laypeople from our region will gather for worship and to hear from various speakers such as Dr. Steve Seamands, professor emeritus of Christian doctrine at Asbury Theological Seminary. To register and learn more, please visit www.westplainsgmc.org.
